Established in 1978, Elm Farm Country House has been serving the village of Horsham St Faith and beyond for over 30 years. Providing very professional, yet personal, After Funeral Buffets: whether a small intimate gathering of close family and friends, or a large celebration for up to 200 guests, the staff at Elm Farm will ensure that every detail is attended to.
Arrival From the moment your group arrives a member of staff will be on hand to assist with parking cars and directing your guests to available spaces. You will be greeted at the door and escorted to the room in which your reception will be held. Fresh tea and locally produced filter coffee will be served to you and your guests in the reception room, and your selected buffet will be laid out on trays for you and your guests to help yourself.
Quiet Reflection Weather permitting, Elm Farm is very unique in being able to offer access to its well-kept gardens and pond with chickens, ducks and our famous black swans, as well as Henry and Matilda, our two British Saddleback pigs: the gardens are the perfect spot for quiet reflection. The Dining Room has a maximum capacity of 150 guests with seating for 70 and is guaranteed with bookings of over 40 people.
The Lounge The Lounge is perfect for smaller parties, with direct access to the bar for parties of up to 40 with seating for 25 people.
Arrangements We understand the After Funeral Buffet that we provide is an important part of the proceedings, so all our staff conduct themselves with the utmost respect in these difficult times. And they will do everything they can to ensure that it all runs as smoothly as possible. When making a booking, please ensure that any special requirements are discussed, no matter how small, and we can cater for most dietary requirements at no extra cost. We appreciate how difficult it is for families to gauge how many people they think will attend the reception and worry that the arrangements will not be enough, or too much. So this is why we encourage families to slightly under-book as we will do a head count and cater accordingly. We would rather cater for an extra 10 people once they arrive than charge you for 10 that didn’t. All our buffet menus include unlimited tea and filter coffee for the duration of your booking, for which we allow 1½ hours; this can be extended if you wish, for a small extra charge, subject to availability at the time of booking.
